Russian Direct Investment Fund launches new campaign to attract foreign investors
In January 2014 the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announced the launch of the new campaign to improve Russia's investment image and attract leading international investors. The campaign will take place over of several stages which include showing promotional videos across leading international business channels.
The campaign launch, which was timed to coincide with the launch of the annual Davos international economic forum, consists of a series of short “Did you know?” videos focusing on Russia’s competitive advantages. The inventive video series contain animated statistics about the low level of public debt in Russia, the almost three-fold increase in GDP per capita since 1999, as well as a reminder that Russia's economy is the sixth biggest in the world.

Currently the Russian Direct Investment Fund is also working on the second phase of the campaign, which will feature short interviews across business channels in Europe and Asia with leading international investors and CEOs who are investing and doing business in Russia.
Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said:
"It is very important to highlight the positive economic fundamentals in Russia to international investors. Evidence suggests that those who have already invested in the country have a more favorable impression than those who have had no such experience.”
“Russia is committed to further improving its business climate, with recent newsflow testament to the progress being made. In 2013, Russia gained 20 positions in Doing Business ranking from the World Bank - the largest leap among BRICS countries. The country also rose 13 places in a similar ranking by Bloomberg, with Russia now among the 50 most attractive economies for doing business. The investment community needs to be made aware of these encouraging developments."
Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) was established in June 2011 to make equity co-investments primarily in Russia alongside reputable international financial and strategic investors. Based in Moscow, RDIF’s management company is a 100% subsidiary of Vnesheconombank. Further information at rdif.ru
