RCIF and SberInvest to invest RUB1.6 bn in Eruditor Group

Eruditor Group owns Profi and Zoon services

Saint-Petersburg, June 4, 2021 – The Russia-China Investment Fund (RCIF, established by the Russian Direct Investment Fund and China Investment Corporation) and SberInvest announce an investment of RUB1.6 bn in Eruditor Group holding, owner of the leading Russian professional services marketplace Profi and Zoon information service.

The announcement was made on the sidelines of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The investment is structured as a syndicated venture loan, with several investors participating, and is the first of its kind to be implemented on the Russian market. Russian technology companies are interested in venture loans, serving as an alternative solution for financing fast-growing businesses.

Profi enables professionals to search for customers and users to find qualified specialists in multiple sectors, including tutors, repair and beauty professionals, sports coaches, etc. In total, more than 1.5 million specialists are registered on Profi in 900 service areas.

Zoon is a service that provides consumers with information about various places and organizations in the tertiary sector and helps businesses to promote themselves. Zoon’s website is visited by 15 million people every month.

The funds attracted from RCIF and SberInvest will be used to develop existing and new products and services, as well as to expand the business into foreign markets such as CIS, China, India, USA, Canada and others.
