RDIF and Gamaleya National Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology launch the first information website on Russian vaccine against coronavirus

RDIF invites partners to cooperate on international production and clinical trials of the vaccine

Moscow, August 11, 2020 –The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, and the Gamaleya National Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology announce the launch of the first information website on a Russian vaccine against coronavirus at www.sputnikvaccine.com

The website contains information about the history of the development of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus, the mode of action of the vaccine based on an adenoviral vector, the technological platform of the vector, immunogenicity, safety and other aspects.

On August 11, the vaccine was registered by the Ministry of Health of Russia and can be used to vaccinate the population in Russia. Full-scale production of the vaccine is expected to begin in September.

RDIF invites international partners to cooperate on international production and clinical trials of the vaccine. Proposals for cooperation with the Fund can be submitted at sputnikvaccine@rdif.ru
