RDIF, CDP to invest in Italian co working in Russia
ROME. July 4 (Interfax) - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has signed a cooperation agreement with Italian development institution Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and its subsidiaries SIMEST and Fondo Italiano di investimento SGR regarding joint investments, primarily in Italian small and medium businesses working or planning to work in Russia, the RDIF said a statement.
It is thought the partners will invest up to 300 million euros over the next three years.
RDIF and SIMEST will assess potential investments in the Russian divisions of Italian companies and, in conjunction with Fondo Italiano di Investimento SGR, they will analyze the opportunities to co-invest in Italian companies planning to enter the Russian market.
Other CDP group members may join the agreement in time.
