Russian-Chinese investment commission discusses over 70 projects for implementation - RDIF
Russian-Chinese investment cooperation was one of the main topics of meetings during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Beijing, Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev told reporters on Friday.
"The Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission for Investment, headed by Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov, is actively working here. More than 70 projects are being discussed within this commission, including 25 already financed by RDIF. Ten new projects will be proposed for implementation by the commission, including the Intergeo project - a major project for production of nickel, copper and other valuable metals for $2.5 bln. Chinese partners are extremely interested in implementing this project," Dmitriev said.
He clarified that RDIF has already signed an agreement with Tus-Holding - the technopark of Tsinghua University - together with that project technopark of the Moscow State University valley will be implemented.
The deal on the merger of pharmaceutical companies Obolensky and Binnopharm was also completed. "Chinese investors also entering, and we are joining Sistema and VTB and creating one of the largest pharmaceutical holdings in Russia together with Chinese investors," Dmitriev said.
