Siemens to Participate in $4.5b High-Speed Rail Project

(Bloomberg) -- Siemens Mobility unit that makes trains and railroad equipment agreed with Russian Direct Investment Fund to participate in high-speed 220-km railroad between Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk, according to RDIF statement Friday.

* Project will enable speed of up to 300 km/h and require 300b rubles spending by 2025, including on railroad stations and power facilities
