Foreign funds confirm intention to invest in Russia at meeting with Putin - RDIF CEO
Representatives of foreign investment funds confirmed their wish to invest in Russia’s economy at the May 24 meeting with President Vladimir Putin, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"Yesterday, a very successful meeting was held between the president and our partners, who control more than $14 trillion. The meeting continued until well past midnight and was very constructive and active. The investors confirmed Russia’s strong macroeconomic indices and their wish to invest," Dmitriev said.
On Thursday, Putin noted that the return on foreign investments in Russia is higher than on the global markets on an average and the government did its utmost to guarantee the safety of these investments.
