RDIF, Russian Railways, Ircon Intl agree on possible investment

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 1 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Russian Railways, and Indian state engineering and construction company Ircon International signed an agreement on joint searches and investments in railroad infrastructure projects in Russia and India on Thursday.

“The partnership with Ircon International will allow the RDIF and Russian Railways to expand the geography of investment and to gain access to attractive investment possibilities at new markets in Asia, and also to use the experience and expertise of Russian and Indian colleagues in implementation of investment projects,” RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev said after the signing.

The RDIF, Russian Railways’ unit RZD International, and the Indian company signed the agreement during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
