Moscow, March 18, 2013 - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) won two awards at the Private Equity Leaders Award 2013 for Russia and the CIS in Moscow. RDIF won Best Private Equity Firm in Russia and CEO Kirill Dmitriev was named Russian Private Equity Person of the Year.

Criteria included market reputation and achievements in 2012.
RDIF has also won two Acquisition International Awards for Most Innovative Sovereign Fund and Transaction of 2012. The Most Innovative Sovereign Fund award recognized RDIF’s investment in the Moscow Exchange. Kirill Dmitriev was also included in Private Equity International’s Top 100 most influential global investors of the last decade.
The Private Equity Leaders Award was founded by Private Equity Russia & CIS Journal in 2010 to recognise achievements in the field of direct investment in private companies in Russia and the CIS. Private Equity Russia & CIS is the only English-language publication covering direct investment in Russia and the CIS. The magazine is targeted at investment professionals and business owners.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) was established in June 2011 to make equity investments primarily in the Russian Federation. RDIF’s management company is a 100% subsidiary of Vnesheconombank. In each investment it makes, RDIF is mandated to secure co-investment that as a minimum matches its commitment, thus acting as a catalyst for direct investment into the Russian economy.
