Hamed bin Zayed meets CEO of Russian Direct Investment Fund
SAINT PETERBURG, 16th June, 2016 (WAM)--H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi's Court, has met on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2016, Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
During the meeting, they discussed friendship and cooperation between the UAE and the Russian Federation and ways to strengthen them in the framework of the keenness of the leaders of the two countries to broaden them to wider horizons so as to serve the interests of both countries and peoples.
Sheikh Hamed and Dmitriev also addressed aspects of cooperation and coordination between the UAE and Russia in the economic and investment fields. They stressed the importance of upgrading them to desired levels, and in addition to providing all the support and facilities to companies and institutions in the joint investment.
They also tackled the most important issues being discussed by the Economic Forum, particularly with regard to how best to revitalise the global economy to reach sustainable economic development, and the role of states and international institutions to promote the global economic growth.
The St. Petersburg forum, which kicked off today, is held in Saint Petersburg city, Russia, under the motto "On the Threshold of a New Economic Reality" with the participation of more than10, 000 participants who will discuss over three days economic and investment issues as well as financing and securing a modern and efficient system of international trade.
