Russian Direct Investment Fund, Pizzarotti and Gazprombank agreed on joint implementation of healthcare PPP project

St. Petersburg, 17 June, 2016– The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) together with Italian Pizzarotti Group will act as investor and Gazprombank – as financial advisor, lead arranger and lender to the PPP project of design, construction and technical operation of medical-rehabilitation pavilion of Municipal Hospital №40 of the Resort District of St. Petersburg. The agreement was signed in the presence of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi.

The project is implemented under the scheme of public-private partnership concluded between the Government of St. Petersburg and the project company OOO "Neva medical infrastructure" created by the investors. According to the ten-year agreement, the project company will also carry out general maintenance of the pavilion (except for the provision of medical services).

The total construction cost is about 10 billion rubles. The start of the construction works is planned for the IIQ of 2017. Medical rehabilitation services will be provided to the public under the compulsory health insurance scheme.
