RDIF consider investment in the construction of Taman sea port

Sochi, 2 October 2015 - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF),the Russian Ministry of Transport and Rosmorport have signed a cooperation agreement for the construction and operation of the Taman seaport in the Krasnodar region. The agreement was signed today by Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of RDIF, Maxim Sokolov, the Minister of Transport, and Andrei Lavrishchev, the executive director of Rosmorport

The main target for the project is to create a new dry cargo area at the Taman seaport with a maximum capacity of 100 million tons/year. It will provide a full range of high-quality port services for cargo handling. Strategically the new dry cargo project at the Taman seaport is important for Russia and it was included in the Russian 2030 Transport Strategy. It was partly funded by the state program "Transport System Development 2010-2020".


Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF)was established in 2011 to make equity co-investments, primarily in Russia alongside reputable international financial and strategic investors.
