BRASILIA, Nov 14 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Brazil are working on a platform for the search of attractive investment opportunities both in Russia and Brazil, CEO Kirill Dmitriev told PRIME on Thursday.
“Concerning cooperation with our colleagues from Brazil, partnership with Brazilian development bank BNDES and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Russian, which unites the Portuguese-speaking states, will be the base for development of our activities in the region,” he said.
“We are doing joint works on establishment of a Russian–Brazilian investment platform for the search for attractive investment opportunities both in Russia and Brazil.”
According to Dmitriev, the launch of the new platform is to be announced in 2020.
The official also said that the RDIF does not rule out joint projects in Brazil with its Saudi partners. “The Public Investment Fund earlier announced an intent to invest $10 billion in Brazil. We have experience of cooperation with the PIF in third countries. PIF joins the capital of the Russia–China Investment Fund,” he said.
