RDIF is actively developing Artificial Intelligence and considering investments in the Botkin.AI platform and OSA Hybrid Platform
Moscow, November 9, 2019 – The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF, Russia’s sovereign wealth fund), is considering investments in promising projects in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including the Botkin.AI platform, developed by Intellogic LLC and the OSA Hybrid Platform, one of Russia’s leading companies in RetailTech.
Botkin.AI, a high-tech platform for medical image analysis, is used for diagnostics and disease risk assessment. The AI-based systemdetects existing or potential diseases by processing CT or X-ray images. The AI-based analysis supports doctors in developing recommendations for further patient treatment. Intellogic holds a patent for the creation and use of mathematical models of patients using AI. This patent will significantly expand the scope of the Botkin.AI platform and help stand among world leaders in the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
The OSA Hybrid Platform is used by leading retailers for datacollection, processing and analysis, using AI. The service ensures, in real time, constant availability of products on shelves in grocery stores in the optimal quantity. Using the OSA Hybrid Platform helps increase sales by up to 10%.
The investments under consideration are part of the strategy to develop AI technologies in Russia. RDIF has signed a corresponding agreement with the Russian Government, established partnerships with five leading companies in this sector and attracted more than $2 bn from foreign partners for joint investments in Russian AI projects. The Fund implements AI technologies in portfolio companies, and to date has analyzed more than 100 projects and intends to invest in 20 of the most promising ones.
Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said:
“The use of AI technologies in medicine will help develop many therapeutic areas. By supporting the Botkin.AI platform, RDIF and its partners seek to provide medical centers with additional tools for effective, efficient and timely diagnosis. AI enables doctors to choose the right treatment tactics and, if necessary, consult with colleagues using the platform's capabilities. We see significant opportunities for the expansion of Botkin.AI internationally and are committed to helping the platform enter the global healthcare market.
The OSA Hybrid Platform has already been acknowledged both in Russia and internationally. Artificial intelligence in sales supports a significant increase in retail chains’ revenue and provides a number of other advantages for retailers and consumers.”
