RDIF and Saudi Arabia in talks with Gazprom on various projects, including gas-to-chemicals in Russia – Dmitriev
MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Saudi Arabia are in talks with Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) on a variety of projects in different countries, including Russia, RDIF chief Kirill Dmitriev told reporters.
"We are in talks with Gazprom concerning various projects in different countries," he said, providing no further details on which spheres are being considered.
A meeting took place on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week between Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy Abdulaziz bin Salman, Dmitriev and Gazprom Export's Elena Burmistrova. The parties discussed potential joint gas-to-chemicals projects in Russia, a source familiar with the talks said.
Gazprom chairman Viktor Zubkov told reporters for this part that the parties have many projects that have been elaborated upon, including the LNG sphere.
