RDIF to work with Sberbank, Gazprom Neft, Yandex on AI
VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) will cooperate with Sberbank, oil major Gazprom Neft, and Internet company Yandex on artificial intelligence (AI), the fund’s CEO Kirill Dmitriev told reporters on Thursday.
“We have partnership with more than 15 sovereign funds of the world, which enables us to help our companies enter external markets. We want to build world leader companies, because it’s not enough now to be a leader in Russia, it’s important to be a leader in an industry in the world,” Dmitriev said.
AI technologies are actively implemented in the fund’s portfolio companies, he said, adding that such technologies are widely used for medical purposes.
The RDIF and the government agreed to jointly develop AI in Russia.
