China's Tus-Holdings, RDIF to build science, technology park at Moscow State University
BEIJING. April 26 (Interfax) - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the Russia-China Investment Fund (RCIF) have reached an agreement with China's Tus-Holdings to jointly build a science and technology park at Moscow State University.
The park will provide technical infrastructure for research labs, conference rooms and offices for Russian and Chinese scientists and science and technology ventures, as well as a whole range of services such as venture capital, business training and promotion in the media, the RDIF said in a statement.
Tus-Holdings was created with the support of Tsinghua University. The RDIF and RCIF, which was formed by the RDIF and China Investment Corporation, are already implementing a project with Tus-Holdings to build a science and technology park and redevelop the site of the former Tuschino airfield in northwest Moscow. Overall investment is expected to exceed 90 billion rubles.
The RCIF and Tus-Holdings have also launched the Russia-China Venture Capital Fund with initial capital of $100 million. The new fund will focus on looking for attractive investment opportunities in high-tech segments of the Russian economy with potential for subsequent development on the Chinese market.
