RDIF and Singapore's Makara Capital creating $200 mln platform for investment in technologies
SINGAPORE. Nov 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Singapore's Makara Capital have agreed on the creation of a joint investment platform worth $200 million for the financing of innovative projects in Russia and Asia, RDIF said in a statement.
The relevant agreement was signed on Wednesday during Russian President Vladimir Putin's official visit to Singapore.
RDIFand Makara Capital plan to join forces to implement projects related to companies in the intellectual property sphere in Russia and Asia. The platform will, among other things, simplify Russian company's access to Asian financial markets, the statement said.
Makara Capital manages the Makara Innovation Fund (MIF) - one of Asia's largest private investment funds geared towards innovative technology companies.
