EMEA: Russia – Cancer centre PPP revealed - Project Finance International
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), alongside Mubadala Development Company and a number of other unnamed Middle Eastern funds, will invest in a PPP to construct and maintain cancer treatment centres in the cities of Podolsk and Balashikha, to the south and east of central Moscow, respectively. The government of Moscow is implementing the project and Gazprombank is the lender. The area of the centre in Podolsk will be 5,000 square metres and it will provide high-tech assistance to more than 200 patients daily. The centre in Balashikha will occupy 7,000 square metres and will serve more than 300 patients daily. Both centres are expected to be launched by the end of 2017.
