Russia, Armenia to set up joint investment fund
MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the Armenian state company SME Investments have agreed to set up a Russian-Armenian investment fund.
The relevant agreement was signed on the sidelines of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Moscow on Wednesday, the RDIF said.
"The new fund will foster further development of our economies through implementation of projects in priority areas such as agriculture, industrial manufacturing, transport and logistic infrastructure and high technology," RDIF chief Kirill Dmitriev was quoted in the statement as saying.
