Russian Direct Investment Fund Signs Cooperation Agreement with Primorski Region at APEC Summit
Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of RDIF, was appointed to represent the Russian Federation on the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) by the President of the Russian Federation.
ABAC was established in November 1995 to improve the efficiency of interaction between government agencies and the business community.
The Council is comprised of three representatives of major national companies from each APEC member country and their substitutes, who are appointed by heads of states and governments for a three-year period.
Russia has participated in ABAC since joining APEC in 1998.
Each year the Council produces a report for the APEC member country leaders with recommendations on practical measures to improve the business and investment environment. The report is submitted on the eve of each annual APEC summit forum.
Meetings of ABAC members with heads of states and governments are traditionally organised as a part of the annual APEC summits (the last event of this format was held on October 7, 2013 in Bali (Indonesia).
