Leading global investors with approximately USD 1 trillion in assets under management to discuss Russian investment climate and initial results of the Russian Direct Investment Fund
Announcement – On 21 June 2012, the first day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Russian Direct Investment Fund will host a panel discussion featuring the heads of international investment funds from China, North America, Europe and the Middle East with over USD 1 trillion in combined assets under management.
The panel discussion, “The Russian Direct Investment Fund Gauges Its Targets,” will be dedicated to the results of the Fund’s first year of operation and its plans for further growth, which were developed collaboratively with the leading global investors of the RDIF International Advisory Board. The panelists will also discuss the growing interest from private equity funds in Russia, despite worsening of the eurozone debt crisis, and will present their proposals for improving Russia’s attractiveness as an investment destination.
The panel is expected to feature Head of the Presidential AdministrationSergei Ivanov, Aide to the President of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, Minister of Economic Development Andrei Belousov and Chairman of Vnesheconombank Vladimir Dmitriev.

Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), established in June 2011, is to be capitalized with $10 billion in Russian government funds to make equity investments that generate strong returns. In each investment it makes, RDIF is mandated to secure co-investment that as a minimum matches its commitment, thus acting as a catalyst for direct investment into the Russian economy. Kirill Dmitriev has been Chief Executive Officer of RDIF since inception. The Fund’s International Advisory Board was announced by V. V.
