RDIF acts as one of the anchor investors in Lenta SPO bringing leading Middle Eastern investors to the deal

Moscow, October 21, 2015 - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) acted as one of the anchor investors in the SPO of Lenta, one of the largest and most successful retail chains in Russia. RDIF was joined by its co-investors and partners from the Middle East alongside other investors to support the growth and development of Lenta in Russia.
RDIF was already a minority shareholder in Lenta prior to this SPO – in March 2015 the Fund acted as an anchor investor in the Company’s $225mn GDR placing. Back then, RDIF helped Lenta to attract not only Asian and Middle Eastern funds, but also a number of major European investors.
Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said:
